So, I started in dentistry through my family. I grew up in a dental household, so to say. My mom was a dentist, so she really instilled that in us as we were growing up. We grew up going to her office, seeing her work. We just loved, you know, the environment and how it made us feel. And then once I started going down my college path, I really liked sciences and math, and I started exploring that.
My sister is also a dentist, so it does run in the family. We all don’t work together, but we work in different fields. My sister works in pediatrics, my mom already retired, so it is just something I came through our family. I think it’s the fact that people reach out to you because they need your help, and that you can solve it. And it’s not just one person, one specific type of person, it’s you know, everybody. So, the fact that you can help everybody with, you know, a certain skill that you learn. I think that’s really rewarding.

Dr. Juliana Eslava has a natural love for the sciences and health care. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in biology and from Georgia State University with a master’s degree in microbiology. She worked in a research lab for two years at GSU, so she is truly a research-based dentist.
Dr. Eslava received her dental degree from Nova Southeastern University, then completed a residency at New York University Langone. Her residency allowed her to hone her skills in restorative, endodontic, and prosthodontic procedures and gave her valuable experience in sedation dentistry, children’s dentistry, Invisalign, and jaw-related problems.
Dr. Eslava wants to keep our practice’s ecological footprint as small as possible. One way we do this is by having all our patient forms filled out electronically. It’s our way of helping make the planet a better place to live. We also choose dental materials that leave a minimal carbon footprint.
